Application Underway for the 2015 Trilateral Youth Forum between Germany, Poland and Russia
Until July 31, 2015, you can apply for the German-Polish-Russian Trilateral Youth Forum, which will take place in Moscow from September 28 – October 2, 2015. Most of the events will be held at HSE.
The goal of the forum is to initiate an open dialogue between young people from Germany, Poland and Russia and to enable them to contribute to the development of sustainable relations between their countries. The forum in Moscow offers a highly attractive programme including workshops, excursions and discussions with renowned figures in media, politics, culture and economy from Germany, Poland and Russia. In addition to this, participants will have the opportunity to share their opinions and present their ideas to political and diplomatic representatives of the three countries and thereby contribute to the sustainable development of German-Polish-Russian relations in the future.
Applications are welcome from young people between 18 and 26 years from Germany, Poland and Russia who have taken on positions of responsibility in politics or civil society. A specific interest in the relations, cultures and current issues in and between the three countries is a definite plus.
Ten candidates from each country will be selected for participation. The trilateral youth forum will be enriched by the contributions of the participants. Potential participants are expected to look through the programme of the forum and indicate in the application form which topic they would like to give an impulse presentation on. Participants are expected to attend all modules of the Forum.
The working language of the forum is English; knowledge of Russian, Polish and German is preferred.
Participants’ costs during the forum will be covered. Travel costs will be partially reimbursed following the forum (up to 50%).

- Short essay on one of the following topics (300-500 words in English):
1. International business during times of EU-Russia political tensions: challenges and opportunities
2. European energy policy and security
3. The role of Russia, Germany and Poland in mediating the Ukrainian crisis
4. How can civic engagement enhance trilateral relations?
5. Describe the idea of the tri-/multilateral project you want to develop during or following the forum
