The Faculty of Economic Sciences is launching its annual prediction contest. On October 14, the Nobel Committee will announce the winners of the Sveriges Riksbank Alfred Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences live on air. On October 25–26, 2024, HSE University’s AI and Digital Science Institute and the AI Research Centre hold the Fall into ML 2024 conference in Moscow. This year’s event will focus on the prospects in development of fundamental artificial intelligence, with SBER as its conference title partner.

The HSE Faculty of Computer Science and Yandex Education are launching their first joint AI competition, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis Olympiad (AIDAO), for students from around the world. Participants will tackle challenging tasks in science and industry and interact with experts from HSE and Yandex. The winners will receive cash prizes.

Winners of the INTO HSE International Maths Olympiad receive scholarships and admission offers to 37 different programmes at HSE University. Angelina Yudina, a master's student and invited instructor of maths at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, offers a video lesson where she analyses the demo version of the maths problems from the Olympiad.

The Moscow City Tourism Committee and HSE Art and Design School invite young directors, animators, cameramen, and other authors working with video to participate in the International Competition of Short Videos about Cities. The contest is organised on the platform of HSE Art and Design School and the Creative City Project of the Institute of Creative Industries in the framework of the ‘Territory of the Future’ Moscow forum and festival.

The HSE Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Technology has become one of the organisers of the ‘Nature and Climate’ photography contest. The goal of the contest is to celebrate the beauty of nature and its connection with climate, as well as to showcase modern approaches to studying natural ecosystems and their role in climate regulation. The contest is open to all, and the best photographs will be displayed at an exhibition in September, timed to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the faculty.
